California Ground Squirrels cause major damage to areas around structures and roadways by burrowing under pavement and slabs adjacent to harborage areas. These larger rodents make big burrows and tunnels under ground, creating deep cavities next to roads, farms, orchards, water basins, trees, hillsides, horse pastures, and or around structures etc.
