Rodents are a type of mammal, and all rodents, no matter their species, size, or shape, have one thing in common- they all have continuously growing front incisors. In order to keep their incisors at a manageable length, rodents are constantly chewing. The need for chewing promotes these invasive pest to finding food and shelter constanly, leading to food store destruction, structural damage, sanitation issues. The House mouse, the Tree/Fruit rat and the Norway rat are the most common types of structural invading rodents found on Calfornia's Central Coast.

Flies & Mosquitoes

Both Flies and Mosquitos live around homes and structures, nesting in shrubs, trees, waterways, and other areas with dense vegitation. Our treatment provides excellent knockdown with residual control for a variety of Flies and Mosquitoes around your home or office.

Mosquitos are bloodsucking insects that fly and feed off livestock and just about every animal that doesn't swim. Mosquitos are known for carrying and transmitting many diseases throughout the world, such as malaria, yellow fever, west nile, dengue fever, and zika and more.

Spiders

Spiders Spiders Spiders! We have lots of Spiders on the California Central Coast. Whether they are in your home or garden, office or warehouse, spiders are rarely a welcome guest.

Black Widow spiders are very common and raise the most concern due to the toxicity in their venom. These ground dwelling spiders have quite a bite causing muscle stiffness, stomach cramping, nausea, and pain in the general bite area. Some people might need medical attention if symptoms become severe.

Ants

Ants are social insects that live and work together in large groups. They will nest both outdoors and indoors, quite often making their way inside, foraging for food or looking for shelter. Keeping ants out of homes and other structures is difficult due to their small body size and large colonies and will enter in through the tiniest cracks and crevices. Ants are identified by their three distinct body regions; their head, thorax, and abdomen, and are often mistaken for wasps or termites. Eco Advantage Pest Control has many options for ant control.

Bees

Bees are known for being voracious defenders of their hives. They are less aggressive than hornets or wasps, but they will attack a potential threat. A bee nest in a yard can be problematic especially in residences where small children are present. For those who have allergies to bee stings, living in close proximity to bees can be dangerous and even life-threatening.

Fleas & Ticks

Fleas and Ticks are bloodsucking bugs that like to feed from long haired animlas, like many bugs, they will hide in shady areas where they can stay out of direct sunlight.

Fleas will nest in bushes, under decks, subfloors, carpets, or any other areas that have thick covering and dense shade. It is recommended to treat at the first sight of an infestion, due to a high egg count and fast getastion period.

Ticks, feeding from many of the same animlas, will harbor in similar areas including trees and tall grasses. Ticks are to known for trasnmitting Tick-borne diseases, like Lymes disease and 15 others.

Scorpions

Scorpions are relatives of spiders, mites, and ticks and feed on a variety of insects, including spiders. These Prehistoric arachnids like to stay hidden and wait for nesting insects to crawl into there dark harborage areas, like rocks or wood piles.

Striped bark scorpions are one of the most common species of scorpion that invade homes in our area. Adults are light brown to brownish-yellow in color. They have two broad, dark, lengthwise bands on the surface of the abdomen. They also have a dark triangular shape on the front portion of their head. Bark scorpions use their pincers to capture and hold onto their prey. At the end of the abdomen, they have a telson – a bulb-shaped, tail-like structure. The telson contains venom glands and a sharp, curved stinger on its end that delivers the venom they use to paralyze their prey. The tail is longer in the males than the females.

Wasps & Hornets

The most common Wasps we have on the California Central Cost are the Paper Wasp, Mudauber, and the Yellow Jacket. Accurate identification is very important as it will help determine the best treatment.

The Paper Wasps and Mudaubers are solitary wasps and are usually less difficult to treat than the Yellow Jacket. While Yellow Jackets are social wasps that will get very agressive if something gets too close or once the nest is disturbed. Accidentally stepping on a groiund nest is one of the more common wasys to come across a nest. Yellow Jackets will swarm and defend the nest, which can be dangerous close to people and pets.

Bed Bugs

Bed bugs are known as the "hitchhikers" of the bug world. These little critters have really made a big comeback in then last 15 years. Our team has extensive knowledge and use the best products and procedures to effectively control Bed Bug infestations in your structure. Malnurished or young Bed Bugs and be the size of a pinhead and transluscent, while a well fed adult will be a dark redish-brown coloring.

Cockroaches

Cockroaches are one of the most common pests worldwide. Some of the first Cockroach fossils were found in caves that humans inhabited and they have been a pest ever since.

The California Central Coast has a few common species, like the large American Cockroach that is known to live in sewers.

Oriental Cockroaches are often referred to as "water bug" and are known to live in dark, dank areas of subfloors.

German Cockroachs are the most common and one of the more difficult to control, infesting kitchens, bathrooms, pantries, bedrooms and with a fast breading cycle and large egg count, they can become big problem fairly quickly.
